The morning sun shone through the barn window, awakening Kitty. Outside, she could hear human voices and the sound of big boots circling the barn. Peeking out through a crack she could see two big men wearing hard hats. What did they want? And why were they here?
Kitty ran and hid behind a rusty old wagon. She waited and listened. She could hear the crunching of leaves and grass outside. Then she heard a loud voice say, “OK, Frank, time to take her down”. They plan to re-build here.” A sudden loud noise made Kitty jump straight up. It was the sound of a big scary machine!
